REDEEMER  CHURCH EVENTS:

Spring Retreat Registration is STILL OPEN – and only 18 days away! Retreat details and registration are here! If you have financial restrictions, please email retreat@redeemerarlington.com for scholarship details.

Baptism Sunday, May 7: Following our return from the retreat, we are excited to hold a baptism service on Sunday, May 7th! If you have never been baptized as a believer, please reach out to Jordan (jordan@redeemerarlington.com) to get more information. If able to assist with setup or takedown, please let Tyler Robinson know.

MEMBER SURVEY: Redeemer members, this past Thursday, we sent out the 2017 Member’s Survey. This annual survey provides helpful information about where we are as a church and helps set direction for how we want to grow as a church community. Eric will talk through the results at the Spring retreat. Please note, the survey will be sent directly to your email from Qualtrics, the survey program we are using. As a result, you may need to check your spam folder in case you didn’t receive it. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Scott (scott@redeemerarlington.com).

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS:

— Walk|Run|Ride, April 22nd: Redeemer has been partnering with our local pregnancy center, Assist Pregnancy Center, for several years. Assist operates solely on donations from the community, and the annual Walk|Run|Ride is one of its two biggest fundraisers. You and your family/roommates/CG can form a team, or you can do it alone – by running or walking the 5K course along the W&OD trail, or biking the 12-mile course along the same trail. Sign up, and then ask friends and family to support you financially as you support Assist! Mike and I, and our kids, will be there, so let us know if you sign up! In order to track participants, please sign up at the link below, and choose “Laura Icardi” as your liaison, and “Redeemer” as your church. You can email me with any questions: laura_icardi@yahoo.com Link to sign up: Walk/Run/Ride for LIFE 2017 | Event Page

SERVANT SHOUTOUT, by Jackie Black (nominations by Laura Icardi and Katherine Roddy): We have a double dose as I got TWO shoutouts nominations:

Laura Icardi writes, “Children’s Ministry helpers Lisa Anderson and Laura Settle are faithful to serve when needed, be on time, and put up with endless classroom switches as the room ratios need volunteers to move around. Today, Lisa and Laura both got switched multiple times, and each time agreed graciously and promptly. I enjoyed watching Laura jump into her new role as a helper with the 3rd-5th graders so much, that when ratios allowed me to switch her back again, I chose to leave her in that classroom to serve the kids with enthusiasm and joy! She told me afterward how fun it was to pray with the kids, and her eager heart to serve the kids was contagious!”

Katherine Roddy shared, “Dave Mugg is a popular favorite for the Servant Shoutout, but when I spotted someone outside of Redeemer who needed his car jumped, I came inside with hands full of children and tried to outsource my Good Samaritan project. Dave happily said yes first!  Also, his wife Sarah lugged some heavy amps up the stairs for the women’s event. What a power couple :)
