Redeemer Weekly – 6/25/2017

Redeemer Weekly: June 25, 2017 — SERVANT SHOUTOUT: Andre Aganbi

Good morning! Please join us this morning for service at 10:30 a.m. at 716 S Glebe. Donuts and fellowship at 10 a.m.

TODAY in Redeemer CM: Redeemer kiddos are continuing to learn about Jesus’ parables! Today’s lesson is on three parables Jesus told in response to pharisees complaining that Jesus welcomed sinners. Jesus told these parables to teach about God’s forgiveness. God sent Jesus so sinners can be forgiven. As Savior, Jesus seeks sinners. He paid the ultimate price—His own life—to save people from sin.

Redeemer members! Over the summer we will be recruiting for our 2017-2018 CM year! We are excited for this area of discipleship and need 72 volunteers to ensure a safe and thriving children’s ministry. You can sign up to serve here – and as always ask Jackie any questions about children’s ministry!

Marriage Matters Interest Meeting – Marriage Matters is a ministry that seeks to help couples build strong marriages. It is led by David Sheets, who previously was on staff at Mclean Bible Church. This Tuesday night, June 27th, at 7:00pm, there is an interest meeting for couples that might have a desire to participate in starting this ministry in our area. They are looking for couples that have a heart to help other couples grow in their marriages. It will be held at Mclean Bible Church in a room called The Well. If you are interested in participating or have more questions you can reach out to David ( or Jordan (

SERVANT SHOUTOUT, by Jackie Black: It is always interesting to hear how the Lord leads people to Redeemer and He was specific to Andre Aganbi to come to Redeemer. We are so grateful that Andre followed the prompting of the Spirit and joined the Redeemer community. Andre dove into serving, from prayer to playing on the worship to volunteering with ONEU, Andre immediately invested in Redeemer. Thank YOU, Andre for all the ways you serve and care for Redeemer!
