SERVANT SHOUTOUT, by Jackie Black: Perk about writing the shoutout? I get to brag about my parents! And yes, for those who do not know, I am Buck and Pegi’s youngest daughter.
Joining Redeemer earlier this year, Mom (Pegi) and Dad (Buck) eagerly considered where and how they could serve Redeemer. They were intentional in thinking through where they could give their talents for the glory of God and good of Redeemer. Mom jumped into children’s ministry. As a 3rd – 5th grader teacher, she plans and prays about lessons weeks in advance. She inspires with enthusiasm all (both kiddos and volunteers!) those around her in CM on third Sundays. Dad has similar passionate serving with ESL … and other duties as assigned (i.e. helping me with random things). Last Sunday, he loaded and unloaded heavy furniture (who needs the recommended three people when you have Dad and a dolly?) for me. It is a joy to have my parents at Redeemer – it is a privilege to partner with them in serving the Redeemer community – thank you, Buck and Pegi – I love you, Mom and Dad.
