“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace…The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.”
Isaiah 9:6, 7
Waiting. Expecting. Hoping. Do these words describe your life as a Christian? They should. We are in a time of waiting for God’s promises to fully come to pass.
We wait with hope because we have a towering example of his faithfulness in the coming of Jesus to this world. But still we struggle at times to believe his promises.
Join us this Sunday as we consider the certainty of God’s promises to us, and sing, study God’s word, and take communion together.
I will lead our times of singing, and we will welcome Curt Allen, pastor of Solid Rock Church as he preaches from God’s word.
We also have the joy of welcoming 15 people as members of Redeemer!
