Redeemer Weekly: March 25, 2018 — SERVANT SHOUTOUT: Katheryn Wolfe

Good morning! Please join us tomorrow morning for service at 10:30am at 716 S Glebe. Donuts and fellowship at 10am.

TOMORROW in Redeemer CM – Palm Sunday! Redeemer kiddos will pause from Gospel Clue Connection and hear about Palm Sunday and Christ’s triumphal entry (Matthew 21:1017) – the people welcomed Him as King. One day, Jesus will return as King over everything.

TOMORROW, Men’s Meeting! The men’s group will meet at 9am in Riddick Hall! All fellas are welcome.

THIS FRIDAY – Redeemer will have a Good Friday service at 7pm. This one hour service is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors as we contemplate the cross of Christ. No childcare will be provided but there will be time of fellowship with treats including cookies for our littles.

Spring Retreat Registration is OPEN! We are under 27 days until our spring retreat! Details are on the website, or you can go straight to the registration link here! IF you have questions, let the retreat squad know: retreat@redeemerarlington.com We are excited to respite and retreat together on April 20-22 in beautiful Capon Springs, WV!

PLEASE COMPLETE THE MEMBER SURVEY! We sent out the annual Member Survey on Wednesday. If you did not receive the survey, please shoot an email to scott@redeemerarlington.com. Please note, the subject of the email mistakenly says “2018 Members Meeting.” Sorry for the confusion!

Elder Candidate Meet & Greet: With putting forth Paul Curtis as an elder candidate, per our constitution, there will be two meet and greet opportunities on Sundays, April 8  and April 15 to allow members to engage with Paul, learn more about his story, his walk with Christ, and anything you have questions about. If you haven’t had a chance to meet Paul, please don’t hesitate to get to know him.

2018 Redeemer Volunteer Needs:

Spring Retreat: The Spring Retreat (April 20-22) is a sweet time to gather and rest together! To accomplish that time of refreshment, there are a lot of moving parts and volunteer needs from set-up to childcare to supply purchasing to printing… All skills have a volunteer match! :) Please let Jackie know your skills and she can find a need to help execute our retreat!

Children’s Ministry: Wondered why we always share what is happening in CM? Because we are blessed to share and show the Gospel to over 60 kiddos in children ministry every Sunday! Currently we have a need for more volunteers to serve in our one year old class! If you’re a member of Redeemer and ready to see what is happening downstairs, let Jackie know!

PSST – Not ready to commit to monthly serving? What about a day? Saturday, June 2nd will be a clean up day for the CM space!

Random CM Request: Still not ready for the day or monthly commitment? We got you covered in what we randomly need! We are looking for a donated MacBook and two old iPhones for production and projection purposes! I can provide a 2018 tax receipt of the donated goods! As with all CM things — email: jackie@redeemerarlington.com

SERVANT SHOUTOUT, by Jackie Black – Nomination: Katheryn Wolfe has selflessly served and operated the ESL program at Redeemer. She has provided countless hours working behind the scenes to both orchestrate the program and ensure care for ESL volunteers and students. Her impeccable organizational skills, her heart of deep love for those in our local community, and her godly example of humility are all powerfully displayed through her work in ESL. Katheryn, thank you for your servant leadership and for forging the way for Redeemer to meet needs beyond our church doors.”
