Redeemer Weekly – 4/1/2018

Redeemer Weekly: April 1, 2018 — SERVANT SHOUTOUT: Bann Family

Good morning and HAPPY EASTER! Please join us tomorrow morning for service at 10:30am at 716 S Glebe. Donuts and fellowship at 10am.

Due to the expected number of visitors and guests, please leave the parking lot for families with kiddos! And reminder for pew seating: move up and in! Your jackets does not need a space 😉

TOMORROW in Redeemer CM – Hallelujah! He is RISEN! Kiddos will hear the Gospel of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. We deserve to die because of sin, but Jesus died in our place. God was pleased with Jesus’ sacrifice and raised Jesus from the dead to reign as King over all creation. We are forgiven only through Jesus.

Spring Retreat Registration – TOMORROW is last day of regular registration! Monday, April 2, the retreat price goes up!

Details are on the website, or you can go straight to the registration link here! IF you have questions, let the retreat squad know: retreat@redeemerarlington.com We are excited to respite and retreat together on April 20-22 in beautiful Capon Springs, WV!

Upcoming Elder Candidate Meet & Greets with Paul Curtis: Our constitution stipulates that members must have at least two opportunities to get to know an elder candidate before members are able to vote. There will be two meet-and-greet opportunities with Paul on Sundays, April 8 and April 15. These sessions will allow members to engage with Paul, learn more about his story, his walk with Christ, and anything you have questions about.

2018 Redeemer Volunteer Needs:

Spring Retreat: The Spring Retreat (April 20-22) is a sweet time to gather and rest together! To accomplish that time of refreshment, there are a lot of moving parts and volunteer needs from set-up to childcare to supply purchasing to printing… All skills have a volunteer match! 🙂 Please let Jackie know your skills and she can find a need to help execute our retreat!

Children’s Ministry: Wondered why we always share what is happening in CM? Because we are blessed to share and show the Gospel to over 60 kiddos in children ministry every Sunday! Currently we have a need for more volunteers to serve in our one-year-old class! If you’re a member of Redeemer and ready to see what is happening downstairs, let Jackie know!

  • PSST – Not ready to commit to monthly serving? What about a day? Saturday, June 2nd will be a clean up day for the CM space!
  • Random CM Request: Still not ready for the day or monthly commitment? We got you covered in what we randomly need! We are looking for a donated MacBook and two old iPhones for production and projection purposes! I can provide a 2018 tax receipt of the donated goods! As with all CM things — email: jackie@redeemerarlington.com

SERVANT SHOUTOUT, by Jackie Black: Power serving couple, David and Joy Bann, care and support Redeemer through multiple Sunday teams! David handles the chaos of CM as point person and has yet to be flustered! Of course it help that his beautiful bride Joy helps out … when she is not playing the piano for the worship team! David and Joy are great examples to their kiddos – so much that Noah knows all the rules of CM set up and clean up! Thank you, Bann family for how you serve and love Redeemer!
