Redeemer Weekly – 7/15/2018

Redeemer Weekly: July 15, 2018 — CM Moves Back TODAY! — Servant Shoutout: Long Tran

Good morning! Please join us tomorrow morning at 10am for coffee and donuts at 716 S. Glebe Rd.

TODAY from 9 am – 1 pm! If you have a free morning and muscle to move things, we are beginning the process of our staged CM Move Back!

Tomorrow in Children’s Ministry: All classes are meeting tomorrow (#happydance #allthepraisehands)! One year olds will be upstairs but all other classes will be downstairs as well as check-in!

In a perfect lesson for the Redeemer kiddos as they return to the downstairs, they will learn about Paul giving the hope of the return of Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11!

Tomorrow in the Men’s Group: The men will meet at Carlos Dimas’ home at 8:45am! For further details, please contact Mike Henry.

Redeemer Service Area Needs:

Audio Team: Still needing technically- and musically-minded and music folks to help out with the Audio and Recording teams: Audio team needs folks who can independently help with the technical operations required in our Sunday morning meetings and monthly Worship and Prayer nights. Recording team serves by editing and posting weekly audio from our various services and meetings. Experience working with and ownership of a digital audio workstation (DAW) is needed. If interested, please email Dave Mugg.

Children Ministry 2018-2019: Thank you to all who have signed up already – we have 22 of our 72 needed volunteers! For our Redeemer member parents, remember, if your kiddos are in CM, you are required to serve. If you are interested in the needs and rules with CM, let Jackie know!

ESL Ministry Fall 2018: The ESL ministry is looking for volunteers for the Fall 2018 semester. English classes are held Mondays 7-9 pm and Thursdays 7-8:30 pm from September 17 to December 6. We also host a Bible reading class on Thursdays. This is a great way to serve and build relationships with people in our community! There are a lot of different ways to get involved. Here are our needs for the upcoming semester: 6 teachers, 4 teaching assistants, 1 Bible reading class leader,  2 Bible reading class facilitators

If you’d like to learn more about these roles and the ESL ministry, we will be having informational meetings in the church lobby Monday July 23 and Thursday July 26  from 7:30 to 8:30. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend the informational meeting. If you have any questions, please email

Servant Shoutout by Jackie Black: It is always humbling to thank and appreciation someone who quietly and faithfully serves on multiple teams. Long Tran is one of those serves. Long has consistently served the projection team and ESL. His eagerness and mindfulness to serve is greatly appreciated by those two teams. He is flexible to the needs, and has often helped me on a given Sunday when I have a projection curve ball. Katheryn Wolfe deeply appreciates his willingness to do the bulk shopping. Thank you, Long, for faithfully caring for multiple areas in Redeemer!
