Redeemer Weekly: July 8, 2018 — Servant Shoutout: Dave Mugg

Good morning! Please join us tomorrow morning at 10am for coffee and donuts at 716 S. Glebe Rd. Happy Fourth of July holiday week!

Tomorrow in Children’s Ministry:, Kiddos are continuing to learn from Paul’s letters to the early church and tomorrow they learn about the short letter to Philemon.

Tomorrow in the Men’s Group: The men will meet at Carlos Dimas’ home at 8:45am! For further details, please contact Mike Henry.

July Redeemer Reads: Joy Jabinal provided her book and non-book recommendations in this month’s edition or Redeemer Reads. If you missed the email last week, you can read her recs here.

Redeemer Needs:

Audio Team: Looking for technically- and musically-minded and music folks (your friends should think this about you too) to help out with the Audio and Recording teams 1 or 2 times each month. The audio team needs folks who can independently help with the technical operations required in our Sunday morning meetings and monthly Worship and Prayer nights. A good ear for music and experience running a sound board are great, but not necessary.

The Recording team serves by editing and posting weekly audio from our various services and meetings. Experience working with and ownership of a digital audio workstation (DAW) is needed. If interested, please email Dave Mugg.

Redeemer’s Junior High Community Group (JCG): JCG is looking for new leaders for the 2018-2019 school year! If you’re interested, please contact John Hauser.

Children Ministry 2018-2019: Recruitment for the children ministry 2018-2019 year started in June! We need 72 volunteers to provide a place of teaching the Gospel and safety, and we are a third of the way there. We are excited to to return to Genesis in September 2018 and begin the three year cycle of Gospel Project for Kids! If you are ready to sign up, please complete this form. If you have questions, contact Jackie Black. Thank you to all who have signed up already!

Servant Shoutout by Jackie Black:

Previous shout-outs have talked about the need and appreciation of the audio team. What makes this team successful for both volunteers and church service is the lead and deacon of Sunday production, Dave Mugg. Dave came to Redeemer and immediately began to serve and enhance our sound team. If in doubt, ask Jordan how much Dave has done to problem solve, and even been known to build whatever is needed. Thank you, Dave for all you give and serve at Redeemer.
