“Be still, and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
This Sunday we gather to exalt the Lord together.
It is good for us to recognize that God is not waiting and hoping that his people will give him praise and worship. We are not doing God a favor by getting out of bed and coming to church.
He will be exalted. He will be honored and worshipped. That is not in question. His call to us is an invitation to participate in his exaltation. As we worship God, we discover the healing, transformative power of beholding him. We were created to worship God. We are doing what we were created to do.
Let us come to exalt God’s great name together.
As you prepare, I encourage you to listen to the songs we’ll be singing.
